WATER PURIFICATION METHODS - Saturday morning, each scout purified water using a filter and then chemical tablets.
FIRE BUILDING TECHNIQUES - Saturday afternoon, each scout started a fire using a magnifying glass, then a 9 volt battery and steel wool.

BANNOCK COOKING - Judges (Mr Washechek, Mr Bitgood and Eli) were recruited to judge the troop's first bannock cooking contest.

First the Cobra patrol's chocolate covered bannock.

Then the Hawk's secret recipe.

In the end, both entries were tied in the areas of texture and presentation but the taste test found the Cobras to be the winner.
A very special thank you is extended to Mr. Best and Mr. Kidwell for their great camera work!
