Bill of Rights
Institutes' Essay Writing Awards Ceremony and Banquet, March 22,
2011
For the
second year in a row Troop 2215 received a wonderful invitation
to present the colors at the Bill of Rights Institute's Essay
Writing Awards Ceremony at the J. W. Marriott in Washington, DC.
This year the gala dinner enjoyed Juan Williams as the Master of
Ceremonies and John Stossel as the key note speaker. Members of
the color guard were Mitch, Daniel M, Josh M, Nate and Josh R.
Mr. Kidwell and Mr. Rose drove.
Colors are presented to the
audience of the top three essay writers from each of the nine
national regions, their teachers and families. Several of the
finalists were homeschoolers and two of the male regional
winners were Eagle Scouts.
